New to Covenant?
What to Expect
Welcome to Covenant PCA! We are a community of Christians from all walks of life that has gathered in and served Oak Ridge and the Knoxville area since 1955, calling our current location home since 2012. We sincerely hope you visit us soon so we can meet you in person.

When and Where does Covenant gather for Worship?
Our Sunday morning Lord's Day worship service start at 10:55 am with a welcome and a few announcements. Our Sunday evening worship services begin at 5:55 pm. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:45 am.
We gather at our church building located at 3000 Clearview Ct, Oak Ridge, TN within the Commerce Park business park near the south entrance to the city of Oak Ridge.
What to Expect When You Visit
At Covenant PCA, you can expect a friendly congregation, a traditional worship service, and a sermon centered on God’s Word.
Our services last between 60 -75 minutes. Sermons are typically 30-35 minutes. On the first Sunday morning and third Sunday evening of the month, we observe the Lord's Supper (sometimes called "Communion") toward the end of the service.
Our worship is God-focused as we proclaim the Lord's glory through our singing, praying, confessing, Bible reading, preaching, giving, administering baptism, and the Lord's Supper. Our worship services are full of joy, reverence, and awe of our triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
At Covenant, we value Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:19). We use the Trinity Psalter Hymnal for our singing. We engage in congregational singing to praise God (Psalm 96:1) and to encourage one another in the truths of scripture (Colossians 3:16).
You will hear Christ-centered preaching – a faithful exegesis (explanation based on original context) and practical application of the Scriptures.
What should I wear?
You’ll find a range of attire—from casual to more traditional Sunday dress. We simply encourage you to come as you are and join us in worship.
Nursery
Children are always welcome in any of our services, and many families choose to bring even young children with them to worship. Nursery is available during Sunday School, Morning and Evening Worship, and on Wednesday nights for children aged 0 to 24 months, staffed by volunteer Covenant members who have undergone training and background checks.
What denomination is Covenant?
We are a Presbyterian church in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). The PCA is a Reformed, evangelical denomination committed to the authority of the Bible, historic Christian doctrine, and faithful preaching of God’s Word. We seek to be a Christ-centered church rooted in Scripture and the historic Christian faith.
What translation of the Bible do you use?
Our pastors typically preach from the ESV, though we welcome you to bring any faithful translation of Scripture.
